Dear Future Client,

Arriving at the decision to pursue counseling is brave.  You are agreeing to be vulnerable and transparent with someone you have just met.  I am here to hold space in a warm, supportive environment for whatever brought you here. Our time together is a place where you can feel safe exploring all facets of yourself, especially the ones that are most difficult or scary, not only to access, but to share with another.  I will be here to guide you toward healing trauma, understanding yourself with more clarity and depth, uncovering your patterns of behavior, learning about where you hold your pain in your body and how to help alleviate that pain, while also celebrating progress.  Our goal on this journey is to arrive at a place where you feel at peace in your body, in your relationships and in this world.  Over the course of the journey, you may experience an enormous range of emotions and I am here for all of it.

To my couples, you are taking a positive step in pursuit of improving your relationship, whether the end goal is to stay together or gracefully go forward on individual paths.
I am drawn to working with couples because I believe that if a couple is able to achieve secure functioning, it will positively impact the couple’s family for generations to come.  I use a psycho-biological approach, with an attachment style lens, free from judgement and led with compassion and understanding. Couples and I work together to identify dysfunctional patterns of behavior and correct them.  We work together to reveal and understand attachment styles and each other’s ways of being in the world and how those features affect the couple.  I will help guide the couple to understand one another in the deepest way, so that harmful assumptions are no longer made and resentment can no longer grow.  The goal for me is to accompany the couple to a place of secure functioning, where each person is seen and held with the utmost respect and understanding. A strong, healthy relationship is a key ingredient to joy and happiness in life. I am here to help you and your partner reconnect so that you may build a life rooted in love, purpose and meaning.

A bit about me: I received my Bachelors degree from UCLA. This was followed by a several year stint working in corporate America in San Francisco.  Feeling unfilled, I took a hard look at how I wanted to spend my life, which led me to obtaining my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA.  I took some time to stay home with my two young children and am now beyond excited to be on the path to licensure under the supervision of Lexi Newhall.  My family and I have been in Bozeman for several years and I absolutely love every aspect of Montana life.  Every season has its benefits and I partake in them all!  I love to ski, hike, run the trails, float the rivers, bike – anything that allows me to be outside in this beautiful state.  I also love to read, cook, travel and explore new places – near and far.
I truly look forward to meeting you.
