Dear Future Client,

Welcome! I am warmed to see you looking for support and taking this step for yourself. Deciding to see a therapist can sometimes be an overwhelming decision. It can also be a powerful time of exploration, discovery, healing, and growth. I’m so glad you’re here.

Often, clients are not sure what counseling may look or feel like. I believe counseling to be a collaborative relationship, and I am here to be with you on the journey of deeper awareness, understanding, and healing. I help clients look at all sorts of different concerns, and sometimes, we discover new areas to explore along the way. It may be processing family and life experiences, relationships, trauma, transitions, parenting, infertility, postpartum, grief, identity, confusion, discontent, anxiety, depression, and even joy. We will focus on the whole you, working to develop a deeper understanding of patterns, thoughts, emotions, and our more “felt” experiences. The ones that don’t always have words, but are nevertheless so important to recognize.

About 6 years ago I began to reflect on the types of work I have been attracted to throughout my life. I began to notice a pattern of seeking out helping professions. I returned to my alma mater Montana State University for an MS in counseling, and am now a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I utilize the guiding practices of narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic experiencing with clients. Sometimes we all get stuck or discover that what once worked for us no longer does in the same way. I’m here to decode these patterns with you.

A little more context about me: I was born and raised in Montana, lived overseas for a bit, but have been back in Bozeman for the past 7 years. My husband and I met here at MSU last century…ok, 1999, and have been married for 22 years. We have two pretty unique and dynamic daughters, two feisty cats, and a new addition: a puppy! I love to listen to podcasts while hiking with our puppy, being active at the gym or outdoors, and snuggling up with a good show on TV.

Let me know if you have more questions. I would love to talk.
