Dear Future Client,
There are many reasons you might have landed here. You may have a history of depression or anxiety, struggle with an eating disorder, long for intimate partner, or you may wonder about your identity, have endured a significant loss or miscarriage, maybe you’re struggling to get pregnant or you can’t stop feeling stuck in your life and you’re desperate to make change.
It’s all welcome here. You’re welcome here.
Together we will explore how you interpret the world, the ways you move from one emotional state to another, and what really lies underneath stuck patterns. I’m looking forward to this time together where you’ll get to know yourself and I’ll accompany you on your journey of self discovery.
A few therapy styles that guide my work are poly-vagal theory, somatic experiencing/trauma informed therapy, attachment theory, Hakomi, mindfulness practices, guided imagery, inner relationship focusing and of course a lot of heartfelt warmth and friendliness. I’m hoping over time you start to notice healthier boundaries in relationships, improved communication skills, more space to feel the sensations and emotions that arise in your body, and the ability to feel more ease in the small moments day to day.
Deciding to start therapy can be hard, but finding someone who helps you feel safe will enable you to make the changes you’re craving. I am here to support you and I have loved working with people in a therapeutic capacity for most of my adult life.
A little about me: I am married to a native Montanan who brought me to Bozeman in 2015. We share two vibrant young boys, a sweet senior chocolate lab named Charlie, a wily orange tabby cat and a beautiful leopard gecko. You might even get to meet Charlie who often accompanies me to work and snores softly as we figure out life’s challenges together.
Professionally, I received my bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College in 2002. I went on to study Integral Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, graduating in 2008. I’ve been on the board of Roots Family Collaborative since 2018. Since moving to Bozeman, I have been immersed in learning Somatic Experiencing and got my SE practitioner’s license in 2020. I will begin welcoming couples after completing the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) training in 2024.
It’s so nice to meet you. I’m so glad our paths have crossed.
Fondly,
Lexi
